Being in a position of leadership, someone who has to make tough decisions and lead an organization is unique because of the pressure you get from every aspect of the team - the people above you, under you, within the organization and outside of it.

Being a head coach has given me a real life perspective about leadership -- I understand some of the nuances of being in a pressure leadership position where you can't share everything with everyone.

Hall of Fame Coach, and mentor of mine, Chuck Daly, coach of the World Champion Detroit Pistons and Dream Team coach told me being a head coach is like being on a tower with everybody shooting at you. Not everone can handle that.
